What’s New?
In recent years Broadcom has announced end of life for legacy hardware platforms for SSLV.
Software version 4.5.x is the last supported release for legacy appliances
Version 4.5 was required for the SV800, 1800, 2800, and 3800 models
On legacy appliances, Broadcom will continue to provide hardware support to the end of a customer's contracted hardware support term if it is beyond the Drop Support Date
Software version 4.5 is the last supported release for legacy appliances
Broadcom will be ending support services for software version 4.5
With the release of SSLV version 6.2, Broadcom has also announced the end of service for software versions 5.x
Customers should upgrade to version 6.x or later
Software version 6.x is the current active major version and supported on modern hardware
Upgrade to version 6.x following instructions in the version 6.1.1 release notes, involving an intermediate step to version 5.5.
The end of service date for SSLV version 4.5 & version 5.x was announced June 18, 2026
Drop Support Date for version 5.x is December 31st, 2026
Broadcom will provide Support to customers who have contracted support terms after the Drop Support Date on the version 6.x software

Limited Support is provided for the period of time between the end of service announcement and Drop Support Date:
Resolving certain security vulnerabilities (critical and high)
No new features will be added to v4.5 or v5.x
No additional fixes will be made on v4.5 or v5.x
SSLV v6.x is not supported on legacy EOL hardware. Customers need to plan for a platform refresh (upgrade) to new SSP hardware and ISG-enabled SSLV software
Customers have from the release of this announcement up to the Drop Support Date of December 31st, 2026 to upgrade to a supported software version and platform
