Issue/Introduction

Support may request an export of the MOI reporting ad hoc views, reports, and dashboard templates from an MOI appliance when research into a reporting issue is needed.   Please follow the steps included in the resolution section of this Knowledge Document.

This process can also be used to create a backup of the MOI reporting objects in preparation for a MOI upgrade.

Resolution

Exporting  MOI Reporting Templates:
You can export ad hoc views, reports, and dashboard templates to a zip file via the following steps:
  • Log in to the
    MOI UI.
  • Navigate to the
    Reports
     menu and click
    Reports
    .

    The
    Reports
page opens and lists the existing ad hoc views, reports, and dashboards.
  • Select the ad hoc views, reports, and dashboards that you want to export. Alternatively you can select the check box on the column header line to the left of
    Name
     to select all the items.
  • Click the
    Actions
     drop-down list, and select
    Export
    .

    The
    Export Reports
     dialog opens.
  • Click
    EXPORT
    .

    The
    export.zip
file is saved in the default download location of your browser which is usually your laptop Download folder.
  • If requested by Broadcom Support, this export.zip file can be uploaded to a Case for review by MOI Engineering.
  • Save this export.zip file as a backup of the MOI reporting objects in case a recovery is required.
