Issue/Introduction

We are starting a security compliance yearly community string password change, and want to know how to change the community strings and passwords for devices.

But I can't see where to do that in Performance Center.

Cause

Performance Management doesn't change community strings on device. We just discover the device and match the community string to an existing SNMP profile.

After 2 failed poll cycles, it will attempt to discover an SNMP profile that will work

Resolution

SNMP profiles would need to be created for new device SNMP community strings.

After 2 failed poll cycles, it will discover an SNMP profile that works
