Unable to change IP and name of a router

Issue/Introduction

Running 21.2.1 of PC I am trying to change the IP and name of a device. I go to Monitored Devices, find the device, edit the IP field to the new IP and click Save and the IP immediately changes back to the original IP. 

Environment

Release : 21.2

Component : IM Discovery

Cause

Since both the name and IP have changed, the device cannot be rediscovered, and a new device will be created

We use either the IP or hostname to find an existing device.   If both changed for the device at same time, we get hostname of new IP and it would not match existing device, so we'd create a new device.

 

Resolution

Only update IP or hostname, but not both. Then rediscover. Then you can change the other
