Cannot upload application with 12.3 Desktop Client but works with 12.2 or 12.1 (ESP dSeries)

Issue/Introduction

User may see the following error (incomplete jobs) when uploading an application XML using 12.3 Desktop Client.

Or

Error executing application-level event trigger-time JavaScript script MY_APP for application MY_APP. The error is: The script MY_APP does not exist.

 

The upload will work with 12.2 or 12.1 client.

Cause

In older versions of DE (ESP dSeries), some incorrect XML tags caused issues with application.

Resolution

The 12.3 does some more checks due to several issues in the past.  If the new client finds any issues, it will not upload the application   Manually deleting the jobs that are shown in the pop-up window and re-create them, use Desktop Client 12.3.
