Logging into communities may fail if the subscription is configured for SSO and the user logging into the communities is a subscription administrator.
When a subscription is configured with SSO, subscription administrators are able to log in to Rally using two methods; Rally authentication or SSO.
The community access issue can occur when the subscription administrator has logged into Rally using Rally credentials at the login form instead of logging in via the SSO path. When this happens, the communities page will challenge the user for credentials since it assumes no SSO connection is established between Rally and the customer. Since the subscription is truly federated with Broadcom, no such credentials exist in our service provider platform and the login fails.
Locate the SSO login URL in your subscription settings and use that address in your browser to log in.
To find your SSO login URL
1. Click the Setup icon at the upper right
2. Click "Subscription" in the menu
3. Find the "Authentication" field and copy the entire URL starting with https, up to, but not including the ) at the end (The URL has been partially obscured in the example below)
4. Paste this link into your browser address bar and press enter
This will force you through the SSO login flow
It is recommended that you create a bookmark for this link to simplify the login process in the future
