Issue/Introduction

Get Latest Maintenance or Update Product Release sometimes fail with "Product is not Available for following site IDs: nnnnnn,nnnnnn...

Environment

Release : 6.0

Component : Chorus Software Manager

Resolution

To identify the products to which your sites IDS are currently entitled use the following URL: https://supportservices.ca.com/support/esdproducts?site=nnnnnn where nnnnnn is your site id. You may have multiple site IDs so there should be one URL for each site ID. Enter the URL in your browser and login with your email address as your user ID and your support.broadcom.com password. It will return the list of products you will be able to access in CSM for the specified site id after a successfully run of Update Complete Product List from the products tab.

When you run Update Complete Product List from the products tab CSM looks at the URL for each of your site ids and connects products listed by each site ID to that site ID on the CSM database. Any product that was connected to a site ID on the CSM database that is no longer assigned to that site ID based on the information returned by the URL will be disconnected from the site ID on the database. This is why it says "....is not available for the following site IDs:..."

Update Complete Product List will connect only products currently assigned to a site id and disconnect those that were previously connected but are no longer connected based on the information from the URL. The products that are assigned to a site ID are the results of sales contracts and your account manager should be able to help.

When a product is disconnected from all your site IDs it will still be listed in CSM but the Get Latest Maintenance will fail with "....is not available for the following site IDs:..." . You can right click on these products then click 'cleanup and hide. All the products returned by your URLs you will be able to access from CSM after a successful run of Update Complete Product List.
