User is not able to edit Secure Subpage after given access

Issue/Introduction

You have a user that does not have access to a secure subpage, even though they were given access rights via OBS Unit

Steps to Reproduce

1. Add a secure subpage in the Project object 
2. Grant user View and Edit access rights to the secure subpage via OBS Unit

Expected Result - User has access to edit the secure subpage

Actual Result - User is able to view secure subpage but unable to edit

 

 

Environment

Release : 15.8.1

Component : CLARITY USERS, GROUPS, OBS ADMINISTRATION

Cause

There is a Global Access right that is taking precedence over the OBS Unit access rights

Resolution

Review all Global Access Rights to make sure that it is not conflicting with an OBS Unit Access Right

Example - 

• The user had Edit and View rights via the OBS Unit Access Rights
• User also had View Only rights via Global Access Rights
• Due to this, Global Access rights take precedence and the user only has View rights
