Issue/Introduction

If a job description is entered into the settings of AS400 jobs (type CMD on ILE CL) the jobs gets never executed. On the AS400 system the submitted jobs remains in status HOLD and never start

Environment

Release : 12.3 Component : AS400 Agent

Cause

The submission parameter JOBQ which determines the Job queue where the job will be submitted contains a invalid definition '/': JOBQ(/). This is why the job cannot be submitted and is holded.

This is a bug of the AS400 Agent. Correction --  A problem has been fixed where OS/400 Jobs with a Job Description would not work as intended.

Resolution

Workaround: Submit AS400 without specifying a Job Description using the system variable *USRPRF in the Job Settings.

Solution: This is a bug corrected in the following versions of the AS400 Agent:

12.3.8 HF2 - Available

12.3.9 - Available

21.0.3 - Available
