AWI frequently shows "Server connection lost"

Issue/Introduction

The message "Server connection lost, trying to reconnect" in the upper right corner of AWI has a number of possible root causes. One of them is a setting named 

 

ProxyWebsocketFallbackToProxyHttp

 

which is relevant in the scenario of an Apche server being used as LoadBalancer.

Environment

Release : 12.3

Component : AWI

Cause

Apache Server Setting 'ProxyWebsocketFallbackToProxyHttp' set to 'On'

Resolution

Set the parameter 'ProxyWebsocketFallbackToProxyHttp' within your Apache config to 'Off'
