uCMDB Connector imports all relations

Issue/Introduction

After Installation of the new uCMDB connector, the import of a predefined view from the uCMDB is imported with all relations and not the restricted view only.

 

Environment

Release : 4.2

Component : Service Operations Insight (SOI) Manager

Cause

What is imported is controlled on uCMDB side only, which environments are part of the view, there is no control for this in the connector.

It can happen where auto-import of services is configured that all relations are retrieved.

If that happens, there is a procedure to clean up and import manually with expected relationships preserved.

Resolution

1) Stop Catalyst Container Service

2) Remove connector from SOI Dashboard

3) Delete json files and log files from connector machine

4) Open SOI JNLP console and delete modeled View and Services from service console

5) Once the modeled View and Services are deleted and connector is completely removed from SOI Dashboard, Start Catalyst Container Service
