Resume NOS Less transfer does not work

Issue/Introduction

Starting 14.0 SP3, a resume of NOS-Less download has been implemented and SD Agent could resume the transfer in case of failure.

 

In SD Agent logs we could see this :

But on some environment the NOS-Less transfer does not work and download is done from beginning :

Environment

Client Automation 14.0 SP3 and higher

Resolution

The NOS-Less download resume is working fine if Scalability Server has not the "Neighbour Aware Software Distribution: Enable agent collaboration for software deployment" set to TRUE in its configuration policy.

 

If the scalability server has following settings :

DSM/Software Delivery/Scalability Server/Neighbour Aware Software Distribution/Neighbour Aware Software Distribution: Enable agent collaboration for software deployment = TRUE

the "NOS-Less download resume" does not work on the Agents connected to the scalability server.

 

If NASD (Neighbour Aware Software Distribution) is not needed for a scalability server, this settings could be set to False.
