Issue/Introduction

This article describes on how to upgrade Live Update Administrator (LUA) to the Latest version.

Cause

Best practice is to use the latest version of LUA .

New versions of LUA contain fixes for customer reported issues, as well as vulnerability mitigations, stability and usability enhancements, and new features.

Resolution

As a best practice, follow the below steps for LUA upgrade:

1. Backing up and restoring your LiveUpdate Administrator configuration or Take a Windows Server snapshot for reverting back to original.
2. Download LiveUpdate Administrator for the latest version of download.

Steps to upgrade LUA:

•  Once the current LUA configuration is Backed up as mentioned in the above steps.
•  Download the latest version LUA 2.3.x Package and run the setup file to upgrade.
•  LUA server does not require reboot.
•  After the upgrade completes, login to LUA > click About to see the latest version.

Note: The Latest version of Live Update Administrator is supported for English and Japanese languages only.
