UIM - Logmon: schedule logfile monitoring

Issue/Introduction

We need to monitor one log file with the error pattern in logmon probe.

The requirement is - file should be checked in every 5 minutes, but everyday only  for 1 hour (2:00 to 3:00 ) it should not get monitored and should not trigger alert if it found an error pattern during this 1 hour.

Is it possible to monitor like that? If yes, the how can we do this?

Resolution

If the check Interval is set as 5 mins, then the probe will monitor the profile every 5 mins.

There is no scheduler option in logmon file. But, You can use Exclude Rule in this case.

Set the exclude with the logfile timings between 2:00 - 3:00.  That way the alert will not appear between 2:00 to 3:00.
