CiscoAPIC Communication Link Down alarm missing information in the event

Issue/Introduction

We are seeing CiscoAPIC Communication Link Down event (220001) without interface information, but Communication Link Up event (220002) with interface information.

What will be the cause? We are concerning Communication Link Down event, not Communication Link Up event.

 

Environment

Release : 21.2

Component : Spectrum OneClick

Cause

The CiscoAPIC device is not sending all trap varbinds on the DOWN trap, so there is no data to display in the event. This is a vendor/device issue. 

 

Resolution

Recommend to contact the CiscoAPIC device owner or vendor to resolve.

This is the event message. The "Additional variables" will not populate in the event unless present in the original Trap, or if requested to poll a specific attribute value with a custom Event Procedure.
