Issue/Introduction

Upgraded UIM from 20.3 to 20.4 and hub version from 9.33 to 9.34 caused the remote hub to go down.

Below is the OS version of the remote hub server and error while starting the robot.

[root@######log]# cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5 (Tikanga)
[root@###### log]# /etc/init.d/nimbus start
Starting NimBUS:
./nimbus: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.7' not found (required by ./nimbus)

Environment

Release : 20.4

Component : UIM - HUB & ROBOT

Cause

- Compatibility

- RHEL 5.x x86_32 is NOT supported on UIM 20.4

Resolution

1. Remove and delete the hub 9.34

2. Reinstall hub 9.33 to the server.

3. The hub should be up and running.

Additional Information

RHEL 5.X comes with glibc 2.5.
Glibc isn't a package you can upgrade (sits too deep in the environment).
RHEL 5.x support was dropped in UIM 20.3.
UIM 20.1 and robot 9.30 was the last version to support RHEL 5.
