data_engine memory usage keeps increasing on UIM Server

Issue/Introduction

Noticed an unexpected usage of data_engine memory on the primary hub and memory usage grows incrementally. 

Environment

UIM 20.33/20.4 / DATA_ENGINE

• OS: Windows 2016
• Database OS: Microsoft SQL Server 2017
• data_engine 20.31 and later

Cause

• According to Microsoft (Microsoft OLE DB Driver for SQL Server), the current usable DB drivers of the data_engine (SQLOLEDB) and (SQLNCLI11) are outdated/deprecated.
• Microsoft SQL Server (broadcom.com)
• And also make sure Data Engine loglevel is set to 0.

Resolution

Update the provider in the data_engine config:
From:provider = SQLNCLI11 to provider = MSOLEDBSQL
