Missing VQ15CSD in PTF LU03945: CTS 6.1 Support

Issue/Introduction

The ACTION HOLDDATA for the PTF says "Execute DFHCSDUP with updated VQ15CSD". But the solution did not include a new VQ15CSD member. Is something missing?

Resolution

A review of the contents of the LU03945 PTF shows that line 2038 begins a new object for SMP/E:

++SAMP(VQ15CSD ) DISTLIB(AAVQSAMP) SYSLIB(CAVQSAMP)  .  

This will update the CAVQSAMP PDS with the VQ15CSD member, after which you can run the DFHCSDUP job with the CAVQSAMP source members.

Note that we only supply the INSTJCL member VQCICS as a sample, but it is not complete. This is because every company has their own process for making changes to the CSD. Some have a single CSD for each region, others have one CSD for all regions, and they might have different ways of maintaining the groups and lists for every region. The CSD can contain members from multiple vendors and for in-house developed applications, so there is no JCL we can supply that takes all of this into account.

We would recommend that the users who need to update the CSD with these members contact their CICS Systems Programming team to assist.
