A picklist is a new static lookup field added to the object through the Modern UX without having to ask the administrator to create it in Studio.

Picklists are only visible in the Modern UX.

For subobjects that have picklists, such as Tasks and Roadmap items, the picklist is 'local' to a specific investment or Roadmap.
