Package download to clients works when using a wireless NIC but fails using a hardwired connected NIC

Issue/Introduction

Package downloads fine to Sym Agent machines using a wireless NIC but the download fails when using a hardwired connected NIC.

 

 

Environment

ITMS 8.6 RU1

 

Cause

Network configuration issues - the Sym Agent machines could talk to the Notification Server with wired and wireless connections but the Package Server was only available when connected through the wireless NIC.

Resolution

Undisclosed network configuration changes were causing this behavior.
