Shell Script Not Run From MAT Running As STC Under Top Secret

Issue/Introduction

When running a Mainframe Application Tuner (MAT) job, there is a shell script that is supposed to run to do an extraction of files from some USS directories. When this runs as a batch job, the shell script executes. When running as a started task with the same ACID the batch job runs under, the shell script does not execute. There aren’t any error messages in the STC output. The TSSUTIL report, security trace, and OMVS trace don't show any errors. 

The MAT proc is in the STC table with an ACID that has FAC(ALL), UID(0), GROUP and DFLTGRP of OMVSGRP.

Resolution

The REGION= size was not large enough when MAT was run as a started task. Change the started task to use REGION=0M and the shell script executes when MAT runs as a started task.
