How do I start the XCOM GUI and check if the database is used or not

Where can I check in the GUI to see if XCOM is configured to use the database or not

To open the XCOM GUI : 

1. Open a CMD.exe window and change directory to %XCOM_HOME%"

2. Execute StandaloneUI.bat. This is the program that will start the XCOM GUI.

 

To check if Database is being used:

Once in the GUI, navigate to the Global Parameters tab and check the sections  called "History" and "Trusted".

Are the any values in the fields? If it looks like this, then XCOM is not using a database
