Issue/Introduction

Getting a RACF error when scanning some JCL because I don't have the proper authority to read a specific SYSTSIN dataset. Tried specifying the dataset in the DDBYPASS section, but   still getting the error. Does it still process everything and then bypass it in the load?

Resolution

 DBXSJCL still tries to process everything if you have the dataset or DD name(s) in DDBYPASS. It then bypasses it from the load.

You would receive a warning message similar to:

*** Error opening TMP Control File ***
with the dataset name listed in the output of the ANL0 step.
