How to set an email Alias in AD from an IM Policy Xpress Policy

Issue/Introduction

Is there a way to use CA Identity Manager (IM) Policy Express to set an AD (Active Directory) email proxy address 

Environment

Release : 14.x

Component : Identity Manager

Resolution

In the following example, a Policy Express (px) policy is created (Tasks -> Policies -> Policy Xpress -> Create Policy Xpress) called "modify email proxy"

 

The Policy is triggered "after" a "ModifyUserEvent"

The User ID, AD Accounts and Proxy Email address are gathered as Data Elements.

An Action Rule is configured to update the AD Proxy Email Address

A static email address is added ("[email protected]")
