assembly CaIISWebserverPlugin error in all IIS applications after installing iis_plugin for BPA

Issue/Introduction

After adding the IIS plugin dll, CaIISWebserverPlugin.dll and restarting the environment, an impact was verified that left the environment unavailable. 

When trying to run any of the existing applications this error is received:

Could not load file or assembly 'CaIISWebserverPlugin, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral,
PublicKeyToken=24cae371b8ebea1a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

 

Environment

Release : Any version using BPA (Business Payload Analyzer)

Component : BPA

Cause

Incorrectly registered the assembly

Resolution

To uninstall the IIS_Plugin follow these steps:

 

- cd inetsrv
- appcmd delete module caPluginModule
- In GAC Manager, uninstall CaIISWebserverPlugin
- iisreset
