Can I update to Apache Tomcat - 9.0.54 at the same time as 12.1 Web Viewer Build 218?

Issue/Introduction

Can I update to Tomcat 9.0.54 when I update to 12.1 Web Viewer Build 218?

I had opened a case last week regarding installing the latest 12.1 Web Viewer build 218 and Technical Support did indicate that I should consider installing Apache Tomcat 9.0.54 due to vulnerabilities. I currently have 9.0.31 on my Windows servers. Can 9.0.54 be installed when I install build 218?

Resolution

You can update Web Viewer and then Tomcat the same day, with only a brief recycle and sanity test between.

Apply Build 218. If that update goes on smoothly, then just log into the application for a quick sanity check - click the "About" link and make sure you're at Build 218, maybe browse a couple of reports - and if all seems right, then proceed with the Tomcat 9.0.54 update, following the Special Instructions included in the download.
