Identity Manager silent installer ignores SiteMinder connection info in the im-installer.properties file.

Issue/Introduction

We are working to deploy IDM 14.4 to WebSphere on Linux.

Our command line deployment process uses the "-i silent" and "-f im-server/im-installer.properties" options.

We had filled out the properties and values for the SiteMinder integration in the im-installer.properties file.

The install ignores DEFAULT_AGENT_NAME and DEFAULT_AGENT_PW, replacing it with DEFAULT_GENERIC_USERNAME and DEFAULT_PS_PW.

Is this a known limitation with the IDM installer? Is there a workaround or fix?

Resolution

We have found that in this installer using the silent option it is needed to enter the WebSphere admin console and edit the ra.xml properties to include the DEFAULT_AGENT_NAME and DEFAULT_AGENT_PW.

These two properties are ignored by the silent installer
