Usage Report, unable to get the reports for the past year.

Issue/Introduction

We need the usage report in order to start working on the  renewal.

In the Usage metering probe of our Primary server, I could see the  All origin data for the month of May only. Not able to find data related to other months or for the year 2021 as a whole. we did a migration upgrade to 20.33 in May from 9.2 along with the complete database across to the new system as part of the upgrade.

 

Could you please help us in getting the data for the entire year

 

 

 

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : UIM - USAGE_METERING/BILLING

Cause

Due to changes in the UIM database and changes to the probe, the local sqlite database in the usage_metering folder needs to be deleted for the probe to work again. This is why data starts after the upgrade.

Resolution

By default use_metering probe only stores 3 months of data.

There is no way to generate reports for the past that are not stored in the local database.

However, you may check the reports folder here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Nimsoft\probes\service\usage_metering\reports and see if the pdf still exists.
