Issue/Introduction

Please be informed that the "Cold Restart" which happened, and seen in the logs, would be linked with the R&D case with ID: SG-28240.

Resolution

Please be informed that the "Cold Restart" which happened, and seen in the logs, is linked with the R&D case with ID: SG-28240.

Looking at the logs, there are usually no logs for why the system would reboot except for what appears to be a power outage (it does not always happen). This could be explained by a, possibly, faulty power supply within the ASG machine and not the rack power supply. Checks show no log corruption, usually indicated by a very long string of "@@" symbols. 

Note: If any software induced reboot had occurred, there will be logs of it. Reboots without logs happen only if the power was removed from the system.

If this should ever recur, there might be the need to RMA the PSU on the SG/ASG appliance.
