CHORUS SOFTWARE MANAGER

Issue/Introduction

I tried to download the new release of CA7 (V12.1).  I supplied the information to build  a new SMP/E environment.  Chorus received the product but when it tried to apply it failed.  Some of the non CA7 libraries (SCEELIB, SCEELKED) were not correct in the DDDEF.  We change the IBM given name to start with SYS1.  However Chorus deleted the entire SMP/E environment thus I was not able to change the DDDEFs.  How do I get the DDDEFS  correct if it is going to delete the  entire environment?

Thanks,

Barb

Environment

Component : Chorus Software Manager

Resolution

From the products tab locate the product and release for which you are trying to restart the installation. In this example I’m using CA Workload Automation CA 7 Edition – MVS 12.1 but this procedure is the same for all products. To display the install packages always click on the genlevel which in this example is 0000. The install packages on the right will be displayed. The install package in this example is CA Workload Automation CA 7 Edition R12.1 0000 and is highlighted below.

This is the base install wizard. Step through this wizard and enter the required values for datasets, SMS or unit’s or volser etc and click next each time to get to the next step:

On step 5 is where you need to be sure to enter the correct dataset names for the DDDEF’s:

Once you get to the end and click install CSM will allocate the CSI and all it’s related datasets and complete the install.
