Issue/Introduction

Trying to implement the SCRT process. When the CAISCRT job is executed,  it may yield the following errors:

Example #1:
JVMJ9VM015W Initialization error for library j9gc29(2): Failed to instantiate heap.  4G requested
JVMJZBL1042E JZOS batch launcher failed, return code=102

Example#2
JVMJ9VM015W Initialization error for library j9gc29(2): Failed to instantiate compressed references metadata.  200M requested
JVMJZBL1011E JNI_CreateJavaVM error, rc = -4                                   
JVMJZBL1042E JZOS batch launcher failed, return code=102

 

 

Environment

Release : 15.0
Component : SCRT REPORT MANAGEMENT APPLICATION

Cause

CAISCRT REPORT did not have enough useable virtual storage to execute.

Resolution

Add REGION=2047M,MEMLIMIT=NOLIMIT to your jobcard and resubmit.
