Is it possible to hide Description column for a Static Lookup?

Issue/Introduction

We have a requirement to hide Static look up's description wherever that look up is used. Business still want to add description for their own purpose but want to hide from all users. 

I don't see any option to hide it from admin(Administration- Data Administration - Lookups) side, how can we achieve that?

Component : CLARITY STUDIO

Resolution

It is not possible to hide Description column from static lookup.

Possible Workaround: 

1. Make lookup type as Pull-Down instead of Browse by going to object views and clicking on Fields.

2. Create dynamic lookup to read static lookup values.
