Issue/Introduction

Getting following error while sending email via IM 14.3

Caused by: com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPSendFailedException: 501 5.1.7 Invalid address
;
  nested exception is:
 com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPSenderFailedException: 501 5.1.7 Invalid address

Environment

Release : 14.3

Component : IdentityMinder(Identity Manager)

Application Server: JBoss

 

Cause

This is due to not configuring mail from under SMTP

Resolution

Modify email.properties file under standalone\deployments\iam_im.ear\config\com\netegrity\config\

and change

admin.email.address to valid email address
