Upgrading Google Chrome on Mac fails with SES installed

Issue/Introduction

While upgrading Google Chrome on Mac, the following error message is displayed:

KSInstallAction could not mount update for installation.  KSInstallAction could not mount disk image.

Update Failed (error: 12)

Error Details:
KSInstallAction could not mount update for installation.  KSInstallAction could not mount disk image.

Endpoint Protection , Endpoint Security

Resolution

Exclude the Google download cache where the updaters are located:

/Library/Caches/com.google.SoftwareUpdate.0/Downloads/
