How to activate a Spectrum watch (monitor) using Policy Manager

Issue/Introduction

We need to create a watch (monitor) for a specific set of devices how can we automate this?

 

 

 

Environment

Release:  All

 

Resolution

1.  Create a Global Collection for the devices which require this monitor - (This example is using model type CiscoNXOS)

2.  Create an instanced watch and specify your poll settings, threshold value and alarms in the watcher.  (If this is going to be applied to multiple Model Types you will need to create more than one watch and more than one rule)

 

 

2.   In Policy Manager Create a new Rule that will link to the Global Collection and set this watcher as active on all systems in that GC.
