OpenTracing/OpenTelemetry in API Gateway

Issue/Introduction

We are trying to integrate our API Gateway into our monitoring environment (which consists of OpenTracing/OpenTelemetry).

Is there a way you suggest would be the best approach to do this?

(e.g. some custom assertion or another project that could put us in the right direction)

Resolution

As of now, there is nothing at all in regards to the gateway having any kind of integration or support for OpenTelemetry.
