Issue/Introduction

While modifying any object(New or Existing) in Web VPM getting error Names must start with a letter and may contain letters, numbers, or the following characters ‘_’ or ‘-‘ and Apply button gets greyed out.

Note: For RequestURLCategory object such issue is not observed. 

Environment

ProxySG Web VPM (Visual Policy Manager)

Cause

According to ProxySG Web Visual Policy Manager Reference,

Because of character limitations required by the generated CPL, only alphanumeric, underscore, dash, ampersand, period, or forward slash characters can be used to define object names.

Resolution

Remove the space or other not supported character not mentioned in the Cause section and after that will able to create/modify object in Web VPM.

For example for after replacing space with underscore(i.e. supported character) in Object named "TestObject 1" Apply button becomes clickable again.
