Performance issues on WF monitoring after disk was full

Issue/Introduction

After the hard drive filled up on the server where the Automation Engine and AWI components were located, there is a sever system performance degradation.  After freeing up disk space, opening a workflow monitor from Process Monitoring with a filter took 2-4 minutes or timed out completely.  There is no noticeable delay in any other area of the AWI. 

Search is not impacted, nor any other part of Process Monitoring

Resolution

A reboot of the server where the automation engine and tomcat server reside resolved this issue.
