Issue/Introduction

All our WebDriver monitors after 2:10 AM Eastern on 12/16 stopped including the “Browser Messages” section of the monitor run logs.  That section is the logs from WebDriver and our Java scripts and includes critical information we need to troubleshoot monitors.  Our WebDriver scripts include Java script blocks that navigate our web sites.  Those logs tell us when our scripts couldn’t find a text box or expected text, output the values of variables, and generally allow us to understand why a monitor failed.  Without this information it is nearly impossible to troubleshoot a scripting problem.

 

The highlighted section is what no longer exist in the monitor results for all WebDriver monitors executed after 2:10 AM on 12/16, the time when ASM had the announced maintenance window

Resolution

Dev found the issue.  

 

I've found an issue in the webdriver agent that prevents the browser console log from showing in monitor results.

 

A workaround is to set the browser to 'Chrome' or 'Firefox' (without version specified) in monitor settings.

 

A fix is completed and will be released in the upcoming release 2021.11
