LINUX - Etautil Error- Unknown error 111 opening Common Object Repository

Issue/Introduction

We are receiving Unknown error 111 opening Common Object Repository when running etautil command on a RHEL Provisioning Server.

Environment

Provisioning Server on Linux

Cause

One possible cause would be if the value stored in the registry is empty or incorrect. To dump out the entire registry, you can use the command eCSoption /r.

One such key of many for example would be the following but check for others that might be blank as well:

/opt/CA/SharedComponents/EnterpriseCommonServices/registry/hkey_local_machine/software/computerassociates/identity_manager/provisioning_server/etrust_server

 

 

Resolution

The value should be the Provisioning Server hostname so please set the value for the key as mentioned in the following documentation link:
