UIM 20.4 upgrade failing at ade probe configuration

20.4 upgrade from 20.3.3 fails at automatic deployment engine probe configuration, with these errors in the UIM installation logs:

  • Corruption in the folder


1. Make sure that the Nimsoft Service is running in the Primary Hub

2. Delete automated_deployment_engine probe

3. Go into /Nimsoft/probes/service/automated_deployment_engine/

4. Backup this folder to your desktop 

5. Delete the /automated_deployment_engine folder

6. Deploy the ADEv 20.42 from the local archive (note that this release includes Apache log4j library version 2.17.0)

7. Activate ADE

8. Check the ADE log to make sure it has no errors

9. Make sure to delete ADE versions newer than v20.42. If newer versions are left, 20.42 will be overwritten and the issue will continue.

10. Rerun the install
