Issue/Introduction

In discussing our expiring database password on Web Viewer v12.1, how to handle an expiring DB password?

Environment

Release : 12.1

Component : OUTPUT MANAGEMENT WEB VIEWER FOR ALL PLATFORMS

Resolution

The password expired and the "CAWEBVWR" ID was revoked for failed login attempts. The ID was unlocked. A new password was generated. The Web Viewer ConfigTool was run for 1 - System Level External Configuration, and then Option 5: DataBase Settings. from there option the prompts were followed to point to the DB and the new password was supplied. The new configuration was saved, the WAS (WebSphere in this case) was recycled, and the problem was resolved.
