Updating the CA 7 DB.3.2 screen gets SM61-06 FULL INDEX BLK, PRED NOT ADDED BUT UPD GOOD

Issue/Introduction

Updating the DB.3.2 screen the message: SM61-06 FULL INDEX BLK, PRED NOT ADDED BUT UPD GOOD message is received.

Cause

The job being added as the required job is a requirement for more than 255 jobs.

Resolution

The requirement is added to the PRED FOR JOB and will be attached as a requirement for the PRED FOR JOB (field on the DB.3.2 screen) when it enters the queue.  The requirement information will not show in the output of the LCTLG,DSN=PRED.jobname command, nor for the job that is the requirement on the LJOB,JOB=JOBABC,LIST=RQMT command output.

You may want to add interim dummy jobs as requirements if the listing of the requirement data is important to you.  In other words, if JOBABC is the requirement for more than 255 jobs, have JOBABC trigger dummy job INTRABC and use that as a requirement on some of the PRED FOR JOB.
