Issue/Introduction

Trying to FETCH JCL on the DB.7 screen returns message SM50-35 INVALID DATA FOUND IN EDIT DATA.

Resolution

If you get message SM50-35 when trying to edit a JCL member, check to see if it was saved the JCL with PACK ON.  You must turn PACK OFF to be able to edit this member in CA 7.

Go to the JCL member in TSO and perform the PROF (profile) command and check to see if you find PACK ON.  If you do, change it to PACK OFF, save the member and try the command again in CA 7.
