Event Code 4052: "Event data for agent(s) could not be persisted" in DLP

Issue/Introduction

You see these events in the Enforce console after the agents are upgraded using Live Update:

Detail	Event data for 3 agent(s) could not be persisted. Please look at the detection server controller logs for more information.

 

The MonitorController log shows: 

SEVERE: Processing of agent: <Agent Name> failed with error code: 100 ORA-01403: no data found

Environment

Data Loss Prevention 15.8.x

Cause

These events are a false error for a successful agent live update.

These events are generated because this event category is supposed to be delivered via the Agent's state and not by an event.

The agent event persister is skipping this event (error code: 100 ORA-01403: no data found) as the event was not supposed to have been created as an event in the first place.

Resolution

This defect will be fixed in a future release; however in the meantime the event code can safely be ignored.
