Issue/Introduction

Attempted XCOM transfer from z/OS to z/VSE gives:

XCOMM0402I REQUEST NUMBER 002543 ASSIGNED TO TRANSFER REQUEST   
XCOMM1467I OMVS EDC8128I Connection refused. (errno2=0x769F0442)
XCOMM0780E Txpi  215: Socket send error return value = 1128     
XCOMM0783E FLUSH    REQUEST ENDED DUE TO TCP/IP ERROR

Component : XCOM Data Transport for z/OS

Resolution

Support confirmed with in-house test that the error message sequence generated is the result of the partner XCOM on VSE not being started/available. That was confirmed as being the root cause
