Trace problems with the CA XCOM for z/OS ISPF Panels Using dodebug

Issue/Introduction

Instructions on how to turn on the trace when using the ISPF panels to submit transfers. Broadcom Support may request a dodebug trace for problems with the XCOM ISPF panels. This trace is for the clists that make up the CA XCOM Panel Interface.

Environment

Release: CA XCOM Data Transport-for z/OS
Component: xcmvs

Resolution

On the Primary Option Menu, type
dodebug
for OPTION ===> and hit enter.

You will see DODEBUG acknowledged at the upper right of the panel. The clist trace is written to the screen, but may be redirected.
Reproduce the problem, hitting enter to go to the next page.
Broadcom Support may just want to see a screen shot of one page, or the entire trace.

In certain cases, you may be asked to start the dodebug trace on another panel and it will work wherever you start it.

To terminate the trace, you must exit the CA XCOM ISPF Interface.
