Issue/Introduction

File system alarms are not suppressed when the server is placed into maintenance mode. A UNIX server running robot version 9.33 is not suppressing File system (disk) alarms while in maintenance mode yet all other alarms are being suppressed.

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : UIM - CDM WITH IOSTAT

- cdm v6.6x or higher

- robot v9.33

Cause

- cdm.cfg setting

Resolution

Check if the filesystems are network filesystems or not.

If they are NFS, then the issue of alarms not being suppressed during maintenance may be related to the cdm.cfg setting:

   allow_remote_disk_info

When/where the dev_id on the remote filesystems matches the "hosting" system instead of the "mounting" system. You can check the dev_id of the alarm versus the dev_id in the maintenance tables.

Follow all of the instructions included in this KB Article which includes setting allow_remote_disk_info = no in the cdm.cfg.
