Issue/Introduction

After applying steps to mitigate the log4j vulnerability we are unable to open Spectrum OneClick WebApp.

The following message is displayed: Request processing failed. Please refer the tomcat log for more details.

...Not able to reach OneClick WebApp. Process might be stopped. Please start the Spectrum WebTomcat Process and re-launch

Environment

Release : 20.2

Component : Spectrum OneClick

Resolution

Stop the WebTomcat service, rename the $SPECROOT/webtomcat/webapps/spectrum/ folder, and start the WebTomcat service, which will redeploy the spectrum.war file and recreate the spectrum folder.

1. Stop WebTomcat: $SPECROOT/webtomcat/bin/stopWebTomcat.sh

2. Rename the $SPECROOT/webtomcat/webapps/spectrum/ folder

3. Start WebTomcat: $SPECROOT/webtomcat/bin/startWebTomcat.sh

4. Once the OneClick WebApp is successfully launched, remove the renamed spectrum folder (item 2).

5. Redo the steps outlined in the following KB: https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article?articleId=230231
