CAUAJM_E_18407 Failed to connect to Oracle server

Issue/Introduction

After upgrade to R12 SP1 and starting Autosys we get following error messages in the event_demon log

[12/22/2021 11:51:13]      CAUAJM_E_18407 Failed to connect to Oracle server: ORCL:aedbadmin
[12/22/2021 11:51:13]      CAUAJM_E_18400 An error has occurred while interfacing with ORACLE.
[12/22/2021 11:51:13]      CAUAJM_E_18401 Function <Olog> invoked from <openProc> failed <162>
[12/22/2021 11:51:13]      CAUAJM_E_18402 ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified
[12/22/2021 11:51:13]      CAUAJM_E_10649 Server ORCL:aedbadmin was not available during connection operation.
[12/22/2021 11:52:27]      CAUAJM_E_18407 Failed to connect to Oracle server: ORCL:aedbadmin
[12/22/2021 11:52:27]      CAUAJM_E_18400 An error has occurred while interfacing with ORACLE.

Environment

Release : 12.0

Component : CA Workload Automation AE (AutoSys)

Resolution

Found out that in $AUTOUSER/config.PDC  the following line was wrong

EventServer_1=ORCL:aedbadmin:aedbadmin,60003,oracle-server-hostname.company.com

It contained twice aedbadmin. After modifying it to following line, problem was addressed

EventServer_1=ORCL:aedbadmin,60003,oracle-server-hostname.company.com
